What does "your account is not yet activated" mean?

Individuals with new accounts may see this error message when attemping to log in.

This error message is displayed when the account has not been added to any project consumer groups. For an account to be activated they must be added to at least 1 project consumer group on the site. To add members to a consumer group please see more information here.
