Auto Purging and Auto Deletion
The auto purge function can be configured in the Back Room of your InsightHub by a FlexMR administrator. If activated, the function runs on 1st of each month to permanently purge eligible, unsubscribed consumer accounts.
All admin and client-type accounts within InsightHub have the ability to unsubscribe, delete and purge user accounts, as relevant, at any time, using the Back Room > Database > Account Search tool. You can read more about this functionality here .
Automated, scheduled deletion and purging of users are also available, and can be switched on by a FlexMR administrator. These options are switched off by default. To request that auto deletion, auto purging, or both, is switched on for your InsightHub, please just get in touch with us via support@flexmr.net . The use cases for each option are explained below.
About Auto Deletion
The auto delete function, when activated, entirely removes the account of any users who have been uploaded via CSV file to take part in a SurveyMR 2.0 or external task, provided that they…
- Are already unsubscribed
- Have not answered any questions within the SurveyMR 2.0 / external task
- Have not answered any other task, and therefore have no answer data associated with them
- The task/s they were invited to via CSV upload still exist (have not been deleted)
The auto delete function will also remove consumer accounts who have…
- Never logged in or set a screenname
- Never done any surveys
About Auto Purging
The auto purge function, when activated, entirely removes the account of any consumer accounts who…
- Are already unsubscribed
- Have logged in
- Have set a screen name and / or taken part in tasks either internally within the InsightHub, or externally via an open link, for example, while logged into their account
The key difference between auto deletion and auto purging is that consumer accounts who do have answer data associated with them can be purged, but cannot be deleted. Purging overwrites any Personal Identifiable Information (PII) associated with eligible consumer accounts, which meet the above criteria.
Purged & Deleted Users Log Page
When either, or both, of the auto purge and auto delete functions are activated within your InsightHub, you can see a log of the how many users’ accounts have been deleted and how many have been purged via the Back Room > Database > Purged & Deleted Users page.
The page will look like this, showing you how many users have been purged and deleted each time the function has run, which will take place on the 1st of every month.
