ActivateMR boards curate data from research you have run across InsightHub, to display interesting findings and create discussion points.
Once you have created and begun to populate your board, there are a range of features, tools, and options, that allow you to create unique and recognisable reports, and to present research findings in a dynamic way.
Editing the board layout
- Adding sections – You can add extra sections to your ActivateMR board, by using the Cog icon, located in the top right of each section.
- Adding section headers – You can add or edit section headers, including background colours, and borders, also by using the Cog icon in the top right of each section.
- Moving tiles – You can move tiles around the board by using the Compass icon, found at the top right of each tile. Drag and drop where you would like to move to.
- Resizing tiles – You can resize tiles (horizontally or vertically), by dragging the bottom right corner of the tile across, or downwards, as required.
Editing individual tiles
Each tile has a Cog icon in the top right corner, which allows you to edit some aspects of the individual tile. These changes will not be applied to the overall board. Below is a list of possible edits you can make, but some of them only apply to certain tile types*.
- Comments – You can allow or disallow comments for each tile individually.
- Show Title – You can add or remove a title for each tile.
- *Style – You may be able to add or change the background or border colour of a tile.
- *Axis Titles, Gridlines, Legend, Decimal places (NumbersMR Tiles only) – You can use these options to turn on gridlines and legends, and you can also set decimal places and axis titles if you like.
- *Change chart types (NumbersMR tiles only) – These display as a series of icons within the tile editing options. For charts or graphs created in NumbersMR, you can select from a range of chart types to best display your data. For example, bar charts, pie charts, line graphs.
- You can also change the tile content, move the tile to another section, or delete entirely, all within this editing section.
Duplicating boards, and creating templates
If you want to duplicate an existing board, or to use one to create a template, return to the list of ActivateMR boards, and locate the board you would like to use. Using the dropdown menu in the right column (Titled “Actions”), you can choose to duplicate a board, create a template from a board, and you can also manage editing and sharing permissions here too.
